Confession

Ok, so I bagged out Australia just a little bit in an earlier post. So, to make up for that and my somewhat low expections of the Soccaroos in the World Cup I did what had to be done. I spent my heard earnt soap dollars on the following: A green and yellow shirt with the following slogan: "Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi"! As if that wasn't enought I wore it in public for app. 20 hrs, including to uni and the pub! Even went out to watch Italy-Australia, and must admit that I think you guys were robbed, bloody spaghettis filming their way to a penalty!!!

Anyway, to make this new shirt a fullborn memory of Oz all I need to do is stick pics of a ute, a pair of thongs, a bbq and perhaps Shannon Noll on it.

Voila: a perfect souvernir of Australia as I know it :)

PS. Just looked at the reciept from my shirt purchase and it looks like the ditz behind the counter forgot to charge me for the shirt. Lovely-dovely....

Working 9-5?

Is it just me or does anyone else find the following scenario a little bit strange:

I'm at work selling soap to the best of my ability when an elderly gentleman walks in and asks the following question: "What do you do for a living?" ....

$2572 thanks!

If you are keen to spend lots of money in one go, buying a ticket to Europe is the way to do it. Even better, all you need to get the motivation to want to buy a ticket in the first place is the following: Listen to Shannon Noll talking about how he looks forward to go down to Beaconsfield and have a few schooners with his new mates at the pub. (His song "Lift" is recommended choice of music as background noise) "Aussie aussie aussie, oy oy oy..."

Anyway, as the flight over to Europe is horrible long, I have come up with a splendid idea: Let's tow Australia across to the other side and anchor it off the coast of North Africa. In that way you can keep your climate, but everything is so much closer (ok, Asia is not so close, but we can't have it all now can we??)

Anyone got the number of some good contractors?
